phew, off duty

hmmm, yup no regrets.  but also breathing a sigh of relief at the fact that my week and a half aunt jenn with zuka, the rhodesian ridgeback, has come to completion.

what a cute pooch, and yes I was the primary supporter/(pusher) of bringing her to our family, but a wire snapped at the end of her up to then uneventful visit (that is, for an 8mo old barrel of a ball of energy).

of all things, Clark & I went to our 5th in a series of scheduled obedience classes only to return to a full-fledged greeting from Ms. Zuka.  suffice it say, I left her in a crate when I departed – yes, I’m sure.

the evidence of pure enjoyment over self-release were everywhere… my laundry strewn about the house, a rug in a less than more state of being, a hole bored into not only the fleece cover of the Boys’ bed, but also the second level liner and then, as a result, fleece scraps everywhere.  top that with the first fact that she had to RIP her way out of soft crate confinement, and we’ve got a good picture forming in your imagination.

she’ll be back for certain, but until then I’m hopeful some strides can be made in the “who’s the craziest” department, with some attention toward addressing it!
